The McGill-IEEE Symposium on Advanced Electric Vehicle Drivetrains will bring together the Eastern Canadian EV community of academic and government researchers, engineers, business leaders, consultants and government officials to discuss the state-of-the-art in the fast growing field of electric vehicle drivetrain design. This one-day event will offer a mix of technical presentations and discussion panels by academic, government and business speakers. Two IEEE Distinguished Speakers will offer their view of the state-of-the-art in EV drivetrains. McGill researchers will introduce the McGill electric drivetrain research program sponsored by Automotive Partnership Canada (APC) and driven by industrial partners Linamar, TM4, Infolytica and Purolator. Elements of the electrification of transportation initiative of the government of Quebec will be exposed by a speaker from Hydro-Québec. The workshop will be followed by a networking cocktail during which attendees will be able to view lab prototypes of electric drivetrains.
